Harvington Mill Dry Dock in the heart of Evesham Vale

On the River Avon, nestled in a secluded island next to Grade II listed Harvington watermill.

As a family-run business we’ve been looking after this serene part of the waterway for over 45 years. The dry dock is covered and available all year round, providing private boaters and boat hire companies with space to maintain, repair and restore narrow boats. It is suitable for major repairs such as welding, painting and inspections on most narrow boats. There is no power on the island so you will need to bring your own generator.

Accessible by boat or car, the dry dock is a secure private location, accessible by a key coded gated entrance that is locked at all times. There is parking available for up to 2 vehicles located next to the dock.

Book using the online calendar here at £75 per day, payable in advance. Your booking will be confirmed by email. If you need vehicle access let us know by email, we’ll send you the code to access the driveway gate. Any questions please contact us on booking@harvingtonmilldrydock.co.uk

History

The dry dock is situated next to Harvington Watermill, which dates back to the 1800’s, Grade II listed and in the process of being renovated, so not accessible. Situated where an old lock once sat, the dry dock was installed during major changes to the navigation of the Avon during 1970-80’s; when the ‘new’ Robert Aickman lock was installed. Robert Aickman was one of the founders of Inland Waterways Association who campaigned for navigable waterways.
